Mary Estes

Mary Lou Estes, 71 year old Miami resident, died Friday, December 21, 2007 at the Integris Baptist Hospital in Miami. She was born March 10, 1936 in Middle Town, Ohio to Manuel and Retha (Parks) Blaylock. Mary Lou married George Estes on November 17, 1956 in Adair; he preceded her in death on January 1, 1989. She had worked as a dietician at the Autumn Nursing Home in Vinita and at the Rocmond Boys Home in Miami. Mary Lou liked to knit and quilt and be with her family and friends. The family includes; her daughter Sheila Vanatta of Joplin, a son George Estes, II of Vinita, a sister, Lodema Mahurin of Claremore, a brother Delmer Blaylock of Miami, a brother in-law Donald Ray Estes of Welch, four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two very close friends, Janice Durbin of Bluejacket and Jeanette Robertson of Miami. Preceding her in death were her mother Retha Blaylock Brooks on October 15, 2007, her father, Manuel Blaylock, a grandson Mark Kelly and her husband George. Casket bearers will be, Michael Estes, Jess Estes, Lisa Robinson, David Robinson, Trey Estes, and Brett Kelly. Honorary bearers will be Bill Robertson and Kenneth Durbin. The graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. www.honoringmemories.com.
