Mary Lou Garrison, 92 year-old long time Disney resident, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at Rosewood Terrace in Vinita. She was born March 18, 1919 in Springfield, Missouri, to Thomas E. Patton and Florence E. Montgomery Patton. She was married to James Eugene Garrison on November 18, 1939 in Ft. Smith Arkansas; he preceded her in death in 1992. She retired from Oklahoma State Bank in 1978. Mary Lou had been a resident of the lake area since 1959, moving from Tulsa, She had been a resident at Rosewood for the past 3 years. Mary Lou was a member of the Disney Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed her family, grandkids and great-grandkids, as well as a good Canasta Game. The family includes: her daughter Joyce Ann Harding and husband Daryl of Vinita; one sister, Virginia Woods of Bixby; two grandchildren, David Harding and wife Bethany of Disney, Christy Estabrook of Ketchum; two great-grandchildren, Vanessa Estabrook and Sydney Harding. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Florence Patton, her husband, James, seven siblings, Freida Ramey, Georgia Dale, Warren Patton, Stanley Patton, Jack Patton, Jane Bishop and Glenn Patton. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 4th, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Disney Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Daryl Lee officiating. Memorials may be made in Mary's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 502 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home.
