Mary Guest

Luginbuel's South Grand Lake Chapel of Langley 918-782-4400 Mary Frances Guest, 93 year old Ketchum resident, went to her heavenly home, Sunday June 1, 2014. She was born on May 5, 1921 in Tulsa to Peter and Rose Marie (Johnston) Diederich. Mary was a graduate of Holy Family High School in Tulsa. She married Roy Richard "Dick" Guest on February 14, 1942 in Sand Springs at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Mary was a member of the St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Langley, where she was active in the Altar Society. Most of all she was a devoted Mother, and found joy in making memories with her children and grandchildren and attending their activities. She enjoyed volunteering at the Ketchum School helping the students with their reading, contributing to the Blue House in Langley, keeping her yard and beach clean,swimming and being outdoors. The family includes: her children, Annette Walker and husband Mike of Bartlesville, James Guest of Coffeyville, KS, Patrick Guest and wife Janet of Tulsa, OK, Doug Guest and wife Ellen of Houston, TX, Paula Guest Fulgium and husband Rick of Brandywine, MD, Peter Guest and wife Shirley of Claremore, OK, Christopher Guest and wife Sonja of Collinsville, OK, Janelle Guest Liftee and husband Eric of Ketchum, OK; twenty grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Dick Guest in 2004; a grandson, Charles L. Walker; four brothers, Fenton Johnston, James and Charles Brannon and Bernard Diederich. The Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at the St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Langley. The family will receive friends after the Rosary, until 8:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10:00 AM, at the St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Langley, with Father Celestine Obidiegwu officiating. Interment will follow at the Ketchum Cemetery. Friends may give to the "Blue House" P.O. Box, 936, Langley, OK 74350. Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley.
