Jan was born in Bernice on February 10, 1924 to William and Minnie (Smith) Fortner. She earned her master's degree and worked as a psychologist. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, March 10, 2014 at the McLaughlin Cemetery with Pastor Lloyd Crawford officiating. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
