Mary Howard

Mary Kathryn (Galvin) Howard, 69, of Vinita, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2006 at Craig General Hospital. Born on June 30, 1937 in Vinita to Anthony Raymond and Lucy (Bigknife) Galvin. Mary was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita. She had been a resident of Vinita for most of her life spending just a few years away from Vinita. She had worked for Phillips Petroleum and had been an administrative assistant for the State of Nevada. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 Brothers; Bobo Galvin, Anthony Raymond Galvin, Jr. and Stephen Galvin, one sister-Loretta Essex. Survivors include three children; Vincent Matthew Howard of Detroit, MI, Christopher Adam Howard of Chapin, SC and Kim Howard Weston of Vernon, CT. Six sisters; Stella Blondin of Fayetteville, NC, Lucy Shackleford of Tulsa, Judy Rankin of Denver, Josie Driskill of Tulsa, Julia Haynes of Tulsa and Edwina Hoskin of Grand Lake, one brother-Paul Henry Galvin of Vinita. Seven Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews. Rosary will be said at 10:30 am, Sat., Dec. 16, 2006 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Father Alex Kennedy will be the officiant. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.
