Mary Marie Miller, 89 year-old Miami resident, died late Monday, January 7, 2008 at the Integris Baptist Regional Medical Center in Miami. Marie was formerly of Centralia, and was married to Otis Miller who preceded her in death on January 6, 2002. Marie was born June 24, 1918 in Centralia to Piney and Mattie (Ellis) Scott. She was a graduate of Centralia Schools. Marie married Otis Miller on July 11, 1936 in Vinita. She worked as a cook at Centralia until it's closing, then at Bluejacket Schools until retiring in 1984. Marie and Otis moved from Centralia to Miami in 1983. She was a member of the First Assembly of God, and the Endeavors Class. She was very active at Pine Place where she lived and was known as "Granny". Marie loved to crochet, watch and attend ball games, and was an outstanding cook. The family includes: her son Billy Miller and wife Louise of Centralia, a daughter, Inez Friend of Miami, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one step great-granddaughter, four great-great grandchildren, two step-great-great-grandchildren, five sisters in-law, three brothers in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a daughter, Janice Fout in 2003, a sister Anna Mae McConnell in 2001, two son in-laws, John Howe and Jim Friend, twin great-grandsons, one great-great-granddaughter, six brothers, one sister, eight brother in-laws and seven sisters in-law. The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, at the Miami First Assembly of God, with Pastor Raymond Frizzelle officiating. Interment will follow at the Martin Cemetery near Centralia. Casket bearers will be, Don Howe, Shawn Howe, Tony McMinn, Mickey Miller, Brad Miller, Bryan Fout, Bret Fout, and Clint Cantrell. Honorary Bearers will be First Assembly of God Endeavors Class. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemories.com.
