Mary Patricia Taylor, 74, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 16, 2024, at her residence.

On September 8, 1950, Mary was born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, to James Garee and Winona (Prickett) Garee. She grew up in Pennsylvania, leaving home at 16 to make a new life for herself.

Mary enjoyed seeing new things and relocated several times before relocating to Bartlesville in 1995. She married the love of her life, Gaylon Taylor, in March of 2001, in Sedan, Kansas. The couple enjoyed spending time with one another and Mary was instrumental in helping Gaylon receive his military benefits. They were happily married until Gaylon’s passing in 2019.

In her free time, Mary enjoyed playing Scrabble. Her family considered Mary to be an “expert Scrabble player”. She enjoyed spending time at home; cooking and caring for her children and home. Mary also took an interest in astronomy. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents: James and Winona Garee; and her husband: Gaylon Taylor.

Those left to cherish the memory of Mary are her children: Rhodie VanArsdale of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Autumn Campbell of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren: Caden, Elijah, and Isaac, along with other family members and friends.
