Mary Watters

Mary Jane Watters passed to our Lord on February 24, 2011. She was born on January 26, 1924 in Big Cabin, Oklahoma to H.A and Bessie Bell. She married Ross Watters and the couple made their first home in Stillwater, OK where Mr. Watters was attending Oklahoma A&M College. Following his graduation in 1945 they moved to Bartlesville, Ok where Mr. Watters was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company. While in Bartlesville she was actively involved with the First United Methodist Church and the Jane Phillips Society. She began working for Phillips in 1964 and retired in 1985. She remained in Bartlesville until 2001 when she moved to Kingwood, Texas to live with her extended family. She was a true joy to her extended family and enjoyed spending time with "Max" the family pet and discovered a love for cruising with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers and 4 sisters. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a number of great nephews and nieces. She will be laid to rest Monday, February 28, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. next to her husband Ross at a graveside service in Adair Cemetery, Adair, Oklahoma, Pastor Jim Bradford will officiate.
