Matilda Morgan

Matilda Mildred (Miller) Morgan, 95, a resident of Grove passed away at Grove Nursing Center on Monday, August 30, 2010. She was born on Monday July 19, 1915 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania to Oscar F. and Olga Loretta (Donth) Miller. She married Christy N. Morgan who preceded her in death in 1971. Mrs. Morgan worked for JC Penney's in Lancaster, Ohio as a sales clerk then as an inventory clerk for Air Associates. Matilda was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grove. She was active in Sisters of Isabella and was a very active volunteer with the Lemont senior services and Boling Brook senior services along with being a member of the Lamont Kitchen Band. In her free time she loved to knit at her home. Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband Christy Morgan, her parents Oscar and Olga Miller, a daughter Regina Morgan, three brothers and five sisters and one great grand daughter Nicole Petrusa. Survivors include a son Christy W. Morgan and his wife Vesta of Grove, grandchildren Vicky Morgan-Petrusa and husband Joseph of Byron, Illinois, Christy Morgan Jr. of Grove, Robert Wilkins of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nicholas Morgan and wife Patricia of Bridgeview, Illinois and Kim Wilkins-Polosky and husband Michael of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Great grandchildren are Christy Morgan III, Michael Morgan, Nicholas Morgan Jr., Katherine Petrusa, Joseph Petrusa, Kevin Morgan, Sean Polosky, Kelly Polosky and Ryan Polosky. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM and then from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Graveside services for Matilda will be on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Twin Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Delmont, Pennsylvania under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
