Maydene Harmon

Maydene "Mary" Harmon, 88, died Wednesday, March 18, 2009 at her home in Jay. She was born on October 1, 1920 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to William Andrew and Bessie (Brisby) Alberty. She married Irl Lee Harmon on February 7, 1942 in Galveston, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1994. Mary was a member of Mt. Hermon Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, needlework, hunting and fishing. Survivors include three sisters, Virginia McGinley of Jay, Vera Crosby of Tulsa, Ufama DeWitt of Grove; one brother, Orville Alberty of Grove; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2009 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Burial will be in Olympus Cemetery, Grove, Oklahoma.
