Mckey Turner

Jay, Ok. - McKey Turner (sometimes called Stew-Stew Meat or Stony Burke), 83, went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2006 at Integris Grove General Hospital. He was born at home in Delaware County, Oklahoma on February 2, 1923 to Daniel and Sally (O'Field) Turner. He went to school at Oakhill School. He was married to Idella Littledave for 58 years. McKey was a retired stone mason and he loved church, family, friends and fishing. He was a lifelong resident of Delaware County and a member of Piney Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, DeWayne Turner and wife, Kathy of Anderson, Missouri and Floyd Turner of Jay; two daughters, Juanita Teehee and husband Tom and Anna Hendricks and husband Ray all of Jay; 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Idella Littledave Turner, his son Lloyd Turner, four brothers, Bennie Turner, David Turner, J. D. Turner and Leroy Turner, two sisters, Fanie Turner and Viola Watermelon and a great granddaughter, Nicole Keith. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at Piney Baptist Church with Rev. John Gonzales and Rev. Jess Jones officiating. Burial will be in O'Field Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.
