Melba Glatfelder

ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OK - Melba L. Glatfelder, age 98 and lifelong resident of the Bartlesville-Dewey area, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015 at her home in Dewey. Melba Leona Maples was born on February 7, 1917 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of Adopolus and Ethel E. (Johnson) Maples. She grew up in Bartlesville and attended the Bartlesville schools. Melba and Delmas B. Glatfelder were united in marriage and he preceded her in death in December 1987. Melba was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and doing things with and for her family. She was saved and baptized in the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Melba was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Delmas, a brother, Bud "Doc" Maples and a sister, Wilma Tweedy. She is survived by her son, Delmas Dewayne Glatfelder of the home in Dewey. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 9:00 - 8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at 2:00 PM at the Graveside in Memorial Park Cemetery, Bartlesville. Pastor Orville Moody of the Rose Hill Baptist Church in Dewey will be the officiant.
