Michael Borgstrom

Michael Clark "Mike" Borgstrom, 59 year old resident of Chelsea, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Craig General Hospital in Vinita. He was born on July 8, 1957 in Germany to Clifford and Mary (Clark) Borgstrom. Mike graduated from Big Cabin High School and NEO A&M College in Miami. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mike was a long time employee of Cinch Connectors and was currently employed by the Oklahoma Forensic Center as a Charge Aide for the past three years. On May 25, 2002 he married Debra Ilene (Woods) Borgstrom in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Mike loved listening and collecting music, watching movies and sports on television, especially hockey. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aunts, Faye Jane Clyma and Memory Ann Bledsoe. The family includes: his wife Debbie of the home; children, Aimee Hicks and husband Nelson of Columbia, Missouri, Shannon Grissom of Miami; a sister, Nancy Borgstrom and her companion, Jennifer Kay of Broken Arrow; uncle Bennie Clark, Jr. and wife Lynette of Denham Springs, LA, aunt Barbara Lee Lay and husband Leroy of Verdigris; four grandchildren, Autumn Russell, Brittany Fleming, Kaitlyn Hicks and Shawna Hicks. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Justin Turner officiating. Interment will follow at the Big Cabin Cemetery.
