Michael Elkins

Michael Cole Elkins, age 41, died on Friday, August 26, 2011 at his residence in Grove, Oklahoma. Cole was born on July 28, 1970 in Perryton, Texas. He was the son of Michael Thomas Elkins and Julie Ann (Smith). Moving from Greely, Colorado, Cole has lived in Grove for the past thirteen years. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, boating, and was quite the artist. Cole was a boat mechanic and was employed by Barkers Marine. Cole was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Troy Elkins. He is survived by his father, Mike Elkins and wife Debra, mother Julie Ann (Smith) Elkins Montgomery; daughter Stevie Anna Elkins; paternal grandmother Gladys Elkins; maternal grandparents Elbert and Lou Ella Smith; great-grandfather Adolph Redelsperger; three brothers Anthony Sullivan, Ryan Sullivan and Shane Sullivan and his wife Lindy. Cole was also survived by numerous cousins and many other loved ones. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Grove, Oklahoma with Minister Doug Rainbolt officiating.
