Michael Fields

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Grove, OK (918) 786-2261 --- Michael Wayne Fields, age 56, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 in Jay, Oklahoma. Michael was born on July 11, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Gerald and Charlene (Newman) Fields. Michael was a Grove High School graduate and attended Rogers State. Michael was quite the musician and also enjoyed composing music. He also enjoyed hunting, searching for arrowheads and was a flint napper. Michael used to D.J. for KGVE, and was actively known as "Mike in the Morning." Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Marla Fields. Michael is survived by his daughter Melissa Fields and her husband Joshua Beyerl of Grove, two brothers Charles Fields of Grove, Oklahoma, Roger Fields of Olive Branch, Mississippi, and a sister Thea Hitchings of Ironton, Missouri. Michael was blessed with two grandchildren Madison and Zackary. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday March 16, 2015 at the Grove Christian Center with Pastor David Knox officiating. There will be a visitation held from 10:00 until 11:00 prior to the start of the service. Michael will be laid to rest in the Polson Cemetery.
