Michael Dane Jones, 52, a resident of Grove passed away in Fayetteville, Arkansas at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. Michael was born on August 24, 1955 in Ripley, Mississippi to David Eugene Jones and Nellie Izell (Williams) Hackler. He graduated from high school in Brighton, Colorado. Mr. Jones was a veteran of the United States Army where he had received a medal for marksmanship. He worked in Construction where he worked mainly in carpentry and vinyl siding, he also farmed, and although he planted he worked on a dairy most of his time farming. Michael enjoyed hunting fishing but most of all his grandkids and building things for the grandkids. He was a craftsman who like to worked with wood, paint, wire just about anything he could build with. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father David Eugene Jones and his loving companion Lillian Kuhn, his step-father Levisty D Hackler, and a sister Nellie Jean Leahy. Survivors include his wife of 35 years Janet Kay (Frasier) Jones of the home, his children Jeffery Jones and his wife Brenda of Jay, Brian McCord and Jennifer Duncan and her husband David both of Grove. Grandchildren Kaitlyn, Bub, Jessica, Lacey, Rylan and Skyler, his brothers and sisters; Sue Jones of Brighton, CO, James Jones of Denver, CO, Jerry Jones of Brighton, CO, Danita Jones of Aurora, CO and Laurie Gaudreault also of Aurora. A memorial service will be held at Honey Creek State Park on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may send online condolences at www.honoringmemories.com. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
