Michael Jean Messer, 58-year-old Bartlesville resident, passed away at his home October 5, 2007. Mr. Messer was born January 27, 1949 in Bartlesville to Bob Jean Messer and Mary Fourinier-Messer. Mr. Messer grew up in the Atlanta and Dallas areas before returning to Bartlesville to care for his mother. He had an avid love for Harley-Davidson motorcycles that spanned numerous years of his life. He also spent countless hours fishing. Mr. Messer also had two Siamese cats that he loved dearly. Mr. Messer is survived by one son, Michael Messer; by one sister, Tanya Jean Sandlin; by one niece, Dana Sandlin-Sorenson; by one nephew, Benji Sandlin; by one great-niece; and by four great-nephews. A memorial Mass for Mr. Messer will be held at St. John Catholic Church at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday October 10, 2007 with The Reverend Festus Maliwa officiating A reception will be Saturday Oct. 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at 2214 Tuxedo Blvd. in Bartlesville to celebrate Michael's life. All of Mr. Messer's friends are invited to join the family and share their stories and memories of Michael. Services have been entrusted to the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Bartlesville.
