Mildred Rose Glotzbach was born on May 5, 1927 in Paxico, Kansas. She was the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Stork) Glotzbach. She was raised and received her early education in the Paxico area. She furthered her education by attending and graduating from Kansas State University in 1950. Mildred and Eldon John Marak were united in marriage on May 31, 1951 at Manhattan, Kansas. They made their home in Endicott, New York until 1953 when Eldon joined Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville. Mrs. Marak was a homemaker. She joined the library staff at the National Institute for Petroleum and Energy Research in 1977 and retired in 1987. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and also was a member of St. Elizabeth's Unit of St. John's Women's Association. Survivors include her husband, Eldon Marak of the home; two daughters, Carol Scheuerman and her husband, Jay, of Auburn, Nebraska, and Donna Fisher and her husband, William, of Kirkland, Washington; one son, Richard Marak of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Natalie Hinnen and her husband, Jeffrey, of Tulsa, Rachael Coleman and her husband, Samuel, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Leslie Fisher of Kirkland, Washington; and four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Atticus, Asher, and Adelai.
