Colcord, OK - Minnie "Deg" Foreman, 85, died Wednesday afternoon, March 21, 2007 at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Minnie was born August 10, 1921 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to Rufus Sixkiller and Jennie (Owens) Sixkiller. She and Lee Foreman were married 53 years ago. "Deg" was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking for her family and she was blessed by a "green thumb". She was a lifelong member of Clouds Creek Baptist Church and lived all her life in Delaware County. Survivors are her husband, Lee Foreman of the home; one son, Amon Foreman of Colcord, Oklahoma; two daughters, Opal Foreman and Jewell Shotpouch, both of Colcord; a daughter-in-law, Mary Creekkiller of Colcord; a godson, Edward "Sonny" Foreman of Colcord; two brothers, Taylor Sixkiller of Colcord and Cecil Sixkiller of Westville, Oklahoma; two sisters, Anna Lou Sixkiller of Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Ruth Bolin of Leach, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; by two sons, Dale and Dennis Creekkiller; by a son-in-law, Rev. Arch Foreman; by three brothers, Claude, Jim and Leroy Sixkiller and by four sisters, Louella Sixkiller, Myrtle Sixkiller, Faye O'Leary and Ella Mae Sixkiller. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Monday, March 26, 2007 at Clouds Creek Baptist Church, south of Jay with the Reverends Fox Blackfox and Stanley Grass officiating. Interment will be in Clouds Creek Cemetery under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
