Mona Ford

Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, OK - Mona Muriel (Crawley) Ford passed from this life on August 24, 2017 at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 10 days. She was born on October 14, 1930, to Clifford and Tena (All) Crawley of Maysville, AR She was preceded in death by her brothers Max and Don. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James W Ford, JR of Grove, OK; two children, Michael Ford and wife Linda of Liberty, MO and Shirley Snider and husband Bill of Edmond, OK; four grandchildren, Stacy, Katelyn, Greg and David; and four great grandchildren. She graduated from Southwest City High School in 1948 and from the University of Arkansas in 1954. She worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas Company in Tulsa until her fiancé returned from Korea in November of 1955. They Immediately married on December 18, 1955, a union that has lasted 61 years and 8 months. Due to her husband's job she lived in Arkansas, Texas, South Dakota, Colorado and Kansas. Having retired in 1986, they moved to Grove, OK in June 1988. She loved fishing, sewing, and teaching little kids in bible class. Throughout her life, she maintained her belief and commitment to Jesus Christ and His teaching. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at 1:30 pm at Church of Christ in Grove, OK. Interment to follow at Maysville Cemetery, Maysville, AR. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017, from 6:00-8:00 pm, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, OK. In Lieu of Flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Church of Christ Disaster Relief Fund 410 Allied Dr, Nashville, TN, 37211.
