Monte Lou Murnan passed away Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Adams Parc Place in Bartlesville. She was born September 17, 1934 in Nowata to Charles and Mattie (Stover) McMains. She was a 1953 graduate of Nowata High School and married the love of her life, Bobby R. Murnan in Delaware on April 3, 1957. Monte loved to sew and cook and spent her life spending time with her beloved husband. They loved to go camping together, their favorite place being Bennett Springs State Park in Missouri. They spent almost 58 years together and if Bobby wasn't working or hunting, she was by his side. Monte is survived by her husband Bobby of the home; three sisters, Betty Overfelt of Bloomington, IL., Jennie Orban of Sapulpa, OK., Carol Scott of Boerne, TX; a niece, Karen Gibson of Pawnee, OK., and a sister-in-law, Helen McMains. She is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Peggy Wood and a brother, Kenneth McMains.
