Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home - Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261. Muriel Taylor, 91 year old Afton, Oklahoma resident passed away Tuesday October 18, 2016 in Grove, Oklahoma. She was a lifelong resident of Middletown, NY. Muriel was born on September 27, 1925 in Jersey City, New Jersey to Arthur and Frieda (Rupp) Drescher. She attended Matamoras High School in Matamoras, Pennsylvania. Muriel went on to graduate from, Roosevelt Nursing School. She later went on to own a Drive in Theatre in Middletown, NY. She was also a past Matron of Order of Eastern Star (Pochnoe Chapter). Muriel was preceded in death by a daughter Donna Broas and a son in law Richard Broas Jr. She is survived by a son Jeffery R. Taylor and wife Dottie of Afton, Oklahoma, five grandchildren, Brandy Hunter of Otisville, New York, Carrie Sarbello of Middletown, New York, Cindy Garrison of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shannon Johnson of Middletown, Connecticut, and Jeffery G Taylor of Afton, Oklahoma. Muriel is also survived by a brother Arthur Drescher and sisters, Phyllis Curry and Lorrain Mason. Private family services will be held at a later date.
