Myrtle Mae "Maggie" Barnes, age 78 of Owasso, Oklahoma, formerly of Vinita, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 in Owasso. Maggie was born in Vinita on October 19, 1931, the daughter of Hallard and Elsie (Kinney) Cook. She graduated from Vinita High School in 1949. She married Donald Schwegman and had two sons. Later she was united in marriage to Gary Barnes. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Survivors include her son Jon D. Schwegman and wife Lynette of Marysville, OH, sisters Betty Gordon of Tulsa and Helen Estes of Odgen, Vt., and two grandchildren Andy Schwegman of Marysville, OH and Erika Haley of Yukon, OK. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary Barnes and son Michael Schwegman. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 9, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
