Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita, 918-256-5555 Nancy Sue (Goins) Shadbolt, 76 year old former Welch resident, died Monday May 19, 2014 at the Freeman West Medical Center in Joplin. She was born on June 21, 1937 in Big Cabin to Herman Dennis Goins and Opal Marie (Page) Goins. Nancy grew up in Craig County, then moved to California. She worked for Silgan Containers Corporation in Riverbank, California where she was a plant division manager. Nancy, along with her husband Lloyd Shadbolt, retired in 1999 and moved back to Oklahoma shortly thereafter. She was a member of the Welch Christian Church. Nancy enjoyed playing Bingo, travelling, fishing in Canada, quilting, needle point and most of all watching her grandkids play baseball. She was also an avid Kansas City Chief fan. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, a daughter Lajaunta Mayes; brothers, Richard, Dennis and Roger Goins; sisters, Betty Abbott and Mary Deaton. The family includes: her son John Mayes of Commerce; her special adopted children, Carmen Persons and Bobby Means; three daughters in-law; a brother, W. D. Goins of New Mexico; six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 7-8 PM on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Welch Christian Church, with Pastor Brad Canham officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
