Neil Pollard, a K9 trainer and 7-year resident of Nowata, OK passed away at his home with his family at his side on November 20, 2020 at the age of 63.
He was born October 5, 1957, in Redruth, England, son of Clive Edwin and Beryl Wendy (Penwarden) Pollard.
Neil devoted his life to learning teaching and pulling pranks. (Where’s my tape?) He started out training in the engineering service before taking up a position in the prison service where he found his love for K9s. He was a gifted K9 handler and trainer. He even trained one of his K9s to find bootleg liquor being made in the prisons. His highly trained K9s have been responsible for taking millions of dollars in drugs and contraband off the streets.
Neil was a well-respected member of the Nowata community and will be missed by many. Except those he put in prison.
He is Proceeded in death by his parents Clive and Beryl Pollard and his wife Karen Pollard.
Neil is survived by his children: Steven Pollard (Samantha), Amelia Jones (Michael), grandchildren: Zachary, Oakley and Melody Pollard, his sister Gail Anthony (Richard) and his fiancée Sheri Barnes and her children Cougar Mader (Magan), Lexi Mader and grandchild Winter Mader.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. day, November 24, 2020, at the Old High School Gym in Nowata, OK, with Dean Bridges officiating.
