Neita Buckmaster

September 28, 1933 — January 8, 2009

Neita R. Buckmaster, a seventy-five year old Eucha resident passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2008 at Integris Grove General Hospital. She was born on September 28, 1933 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Clarence "Happy" Thompson and Margie Mae (Hollingsworth) Thompson. Mrs. Buckmaster graduated from Webster High School in Tulsa in the Class of 1951; she took some college courses to prepare her to work as a drafting engineer. She began work at Williams Brothers Engineering in Tulsa, then for Boeing and then McDonald Douglas where she retired from. Neita and her husband of almost twenty-seven years moved to the Lakemont Shores area in 2001. Neita painted ceramics for many years at home, she and Charles square danced together for years, she loved square dance music and country music but most of all, classical music. Neita was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and a Daughter of the Nile. Survivors include her husband Charles Buckmaster of the home; her children Michael R. Owens of Wichita, Brian Owens and his wife Tambra of Haysville, Kansas, Michelle Hardy and her husband John of Centerview, Missouri, Joe Buckmaster and his wife Vicki, Dan Buckmaster and his wife Robin, Terry Buckmaster and his wife Cindy and Mark Buckmaster and his wife Germaine. Grandchildren are Jennifer Whitebread, Cassandra Owens, Haleigh Owens Brittany Owens, Dawn Barber, Joshua Hardy, a great-granddaughter Allison Whitebread and many other Buckmaster grandchildren and great grandchildren. A sister Carol Thompson Mills and her husband Jack "Sonny" of Tulsa also survive. Viewing will be from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM on Monday, January 12, 2009 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Neita will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at the Mount Hermon Church with Reverend James Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in the Owasso's Fairview Cemetery at 2:00 PM under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.
