Graveside services for Nellie Dortha Bellamy are 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 11, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Nowata with Pastor Dave Compston officiating. Family will be receiving friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Benjamin Funeral Service. Nellie Dortha Bellamy, 87, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Austin, Minnesota. She was born January 7, 1930 in Pima, Arizona to Jesse and Florence E. (Wilson) Kerby. She was raised and graduated high school there in Pima. In 1951, she married Dale A. Bellamy, a career Navy man, and they traveled and lived in many places together until 1971 when he retired. They made their home in Nowata until 1984 where they were a member of the Trinity Full Gospel Church. She moved to Minnesota in 1989 where she lived the remainder of her life. Nellie loved to cook and watch westerns. Walker Texas Ranger was her favorite show. Nellie will be missed by all who knew her. Nellie is survived by three children, Allen Bellamy and his wife Sherry of Chattanooga, Oklahoma, Rose Bearden of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Karma Nipp and her husband Bill of Austin, Minnesota, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Florence; her husband, Dale A. Bellamy; a son, Larry Bellamy; a sister, Mildred Beal; brothers, Ray Kerby, Frank Kerby, Denis Kerby, Gus Kerby, Norris Kerby and two granddaughters, Bethany Hicks and Kirstyn Hicks.
