Nina Jean Estlin Parrish (90) was born May 24, 1921, in Nowata, Oklahoma to W.A. and Lora Dale (Shoe) Estlin. She passed gently into the arms of Jesus on June 11, 2011, in Nowata, and is now in peace and united with her Lord, as well as many loved ones and friends. Jean graduated from Nowata High School and on December 26, 1941 she married Raymond T. Parrish. Jean enjoyed caring for animals and raising house plants. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Preceding Mrs. Parrish in death are her parents, W.A. and Lora Estlin; her husband, Raymond T. Parrish, one son, Roger Parrish, and one brother John William Estlin. Survivors include her step-mother Allene Estlin, of Nowata, one son Ted Parrish and his wife Pamela, of Bethany, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Jennifer Parrish Kitchell, and her husband Jason, Michael Parrish, Steven Parrish, and his wife Kam, a step-granddaughter, Mendi Branch, and her husband Chuck, eight great-grandchildren, a half brother, Bob Estlin, and his wife, Gloria, many other relatives and a host of friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Parrish will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Tom Cox officiating. Services are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service of Nowata.
