Nina Pearce

October 17, 1940 — May 23, 2012

Nina Yvonne Love Pearce, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on May 23, 2012 in her home in Runaway Bay, Texas. She was born on October 17, 1940 in Nowata, Oklahoma, the eldest child of Elmer Love and Jewell Emberson Love. Elmer's work took the family to Vernal, Utah and she attended school there, returning to Nowata in 1953 and graduating from Nowata High School in 1958. She briefly worked briefly for Southwestern Bell before marrying Kermit Eugene Miller in 1960. A dedicated homemaker, she took great joy in her family, friends and in raising two daughters. In 1990, she married Rick Pearce and moved to Texas, where she continued to enjoy gardening, walking her silky terriers and keeping a lovely home. She is survived by her husband, Rick Pearce, of the home; daughter and son-in-law Dana and Michael Sullivant of Vancouver, B.C., Canada; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Rod Smith and grand-daughters Austen and Harper Smith of Keller, Texas; brother and sister-in-law Burke and Etta Love of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law Bruce and Nancy Love of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, nieces Kristen Farris and Kim Thompson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; nephews Daren Love of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Chad Love of Los Angeles, California; as well as six great-nieces and nephews.
