Norene Buie

July 23, 1937 — January 5, 2008

Norene Mae Buie of Centralia, Oklahoma, passed away January 5, 2008, at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville. She was seventy years old. Norma Mae came to Oklahoma in 2003 when she retired due to illness. Norene and her husband Leroy chose Centralia to be near her brother Arthur Koppelberger. Norene was born on July 23, 1937 in Iron Mountain, Michigan, to Ace and Elaine (Berg) Koppelberger. She married Leroy J. Buie on October 1, 1960. Together they had five children. They are: Anna Speropulos of Oregon City, OR; James Buie of Edmond, OK; Jennifer Pearson of Centralia, OK; Jeffrey Buie of Centralia and Jonathan Buie of Aberdeen, WA. Norene is also survived by her twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. There are no services planned for Norene. Luginbuel Funeral home of Vinita is assisting the family with arrangements.
