Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma 918-786-2261 -Norma Jean Banks, 77 year old Grove, Oklahoma resident passed away Friday January 13, 2017 in Joplin, Missouri following an extended illness. Norma was born on December 26, 1939 in Liebenthal, Kansas to Celestine and Monica (Stecklein) Pfeifer. Norma worked in aviation for many years before retiring as an avionics installer for Beech Aircraft. She was an excellent cook especially with German food. She was also an avid gardener. Above all Norma loved her family and spent most of her time with her grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Carol. Norma is survived by her husband Robert, of the home, two sons, Scott Banks and wife Judy, of El Dorado, Kansas, and Jeff Banks and wife Becky of Towanda, Kansas, two daughters Lisa Haines and husband Scott, of El Dorado, Kansas, and Shelly Banks, of Wichita, Kansas, nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Norma is also survived by a sister Virginia Hein of Hoisington, Kansas, her two brothers Art Pfeifer and his wife Sheryl of Wichita, Kansas and Jim Pfeifer of Olmitz, Kansas A Funeral Mass for Norma will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday January 20, 2017 at St. Elizabeths Catholic Church in Grove, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday January 19, 2017 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers donation may be made in Norma's name to the Humane Society of Grove and Grand Lake.
