Norma Dameron

Norma Lee Dameron, a 68 year old longtime Vinita resident died Saturday September 18, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tulsa. She was born April 20 1942 at Claremore the daughter of Hillard Terry and Charlotte McGhee Terry. Norma was raised and received her education at Chelsea OK. She and Phillip Dameron were united in marriage on January 31, 1950 in Miami, OK and made their home in Vinita. She was a homemaker and a member of the Forth Street Mission Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed baby sitting, watching television and talking on the phone. Norma leaves behind two children, Tommy Dameron of and Betty Davis both of Vinita, three sisters, Virginia Newman of Adair, OK, Pat Carter of Cumberland, MD, Betty Afford of Pryor, OK, two brothers, John Terry of Tulsa, OK and "Frog" Terry of Chelsea, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip, one daughter Virginia Luella and a grand daughter Brittney Dameron. Memorial graveside services will be Thursday September 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at White Oak Cemetery with Rev. George Vaughn officiating, following a dinner at the First Christian Church at 12:00.
