Norman Rayl

Norman Eugene "Gene" Rayl, 74 year-old resident of Sportsman Shores (Langley) Oklahoma resident, died early November 19, 2008. He was born March 16, 1934 in Warrensburg, Missouri to Norman and Nell Irene (Siron) Rayl. Gene was married to Doris Earline Hubbs on March 28, 1970 in Independence, Missouri. They had lived in the Grand Lake area for the past four years, moving to Oklahoma from Houstonia, Missouri. Gene was a farmer for over 42 years. He was a member of the Baptist faith, loved to fix things, hunting and cat fishing. The family includes: his wife Doris of the home, two daughters, Susan Marie Dougan and husband Vernon of Sedalia, MO, Karen Rayl of Green Ridge, MO, two brothers, Richard Rayl of Texas, Jack Rayl of Sweet Springs, MO, two sisters, Dorothy Rayl of MO, Janet Singer of Green Ridge, MO; two grandchildren, Katie Dougan and Brian Rayl. Preceding him in death were his parents, and a daughter, Norma Jean Rayl. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday November 21, 2008 at the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home in Langley. The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs, MO. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Arrangements are by the Luginbuel South Grand Lake Funeral Home of Langley, OK, in conjunction with the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home of Sweet Springs, MO.
