Okleay Luewayne Rogers, 80 year old Jay, Oklahoma resident, passed from this life and joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and many welcoming family members on January 21, 2016. Okleay was born on April 7, 1935 in Afton, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Porter and Maggie (Cox) Baker. Okleay graduated from Jay high school in 1953. She worked as a dietary aid for Jay Memorial Hospital. Okleay enjoyed crocheting; she was an outstanding cook and baker. She was a Warrior in Prayer; she loved ministering to the youth, knowing that the task ahead of them was never bigger than the power of prayer behind them. She was fierce in loving her family, grand and great grandchildren. Okleay was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Wilburn Rogers. Also preceding her in death were three brothers, L.P. Baker, Richard Baker, and Loyd Baker, and three sisters, Arrahwanna Hill, Ruby Kegg, and Claudine Summerfield. She is survived by her daughter, Neothia Hale and husband, Donnie, and son, Robbin Rogers, and his wife Terry, all of Jay, Oklahoma. She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Robert Rogers, and his wife Chelesa of Jay, OK, Terra Gibson, and her husband J.R, of Guthrie, OK, Zach Hale, and his wife, Abby, of Norman, OK, Nikki Smith, and her husband Steven, of Jay, OK, Remington Rogers, and his wife LeAnn, of Jay, OK, Parker Rogers, and his wife Demi, of Haskell, OK, and Tyler Rogers of Jay, OK, and eight great grandchildren. Okleay leaves behind her brother Bill Baker, and his wife Jewel of Wilder, Idaho. Services will be held at 2PM, Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at First Assembly of God in Jay, Oklahoma with Pastor JR Mullins officiating.
