Orene Hitchcock

Orene (Daniels) Hitchcock, age 83 of Spavinaw, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012. Orene was born in Poteau, OK on August 22, 1928 to Arthur and Myrtle (Turner) Daniels. On July 22, 1945 she was united in marriage to Leo Hitchcock. Her hobbies include reading, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Leo Hitchcock of the home, children: Leonard Hitchcock and wife Darlene of Showlow, Arizona, Freda Blasingame and husband Charles of Farmington, New Mexico, Sandra Jill Hitchcock of Phoenix, Arizona, Hank Hitchcock and wife Carol of Strang, OK, Joe Hitchcock and wife Kathy of Spavinaw, OK, sisters: Winifred Redhead of Springerville, Arizona, Judy Marta of Spavinaw, OK, Wanda Peterson of Showlow, Arizona, 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her children Linda and Roger Hitchcock and siblings Arah Russ and Lloyd Daniels. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Southside Church of Christ, Jay, OK with Mr. Steve Stenzel officiating. Interment will follow at Spavinaw Strang Cemetery.
