Jay, Ok. - Orpha Hope Barnhart, 79, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Regency Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on July 28, 1928 in the Jay area to Paul and Myrtle (Pritchett) Earp. She married Raymond Barnhart on February 1, 1946 in Columbus, Kansas. Orpha was a member of the Church of Christ in Jay. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, reading her Bible and feeding birds. Survivors include her husband, Raymond of Jay; her children, Sherry Kobayashi of Driggs, Idaho, Vickie Culver, Carol, Katy Dunham, Tom Barnhart, Michelle Woods all of Jay, Ed Barnhart, Phillip Barnhart both of Grove and Sara Blagg of Colcord; two sisters, Fannie Payton and Melba Price both of Jay, a brother Barney Earp; twenty grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Mitchell "Bud" Earp, Richard Earp, Margaret Martino, and Lahoma Heard. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at the Church of Christ in Jay with Steve Stenzel and Mark Sherrell officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
