Ozina Katharine (Dixon) Love, Grove resident, died March 7, 2012, at Grove Integris hospital at the age of 60 years. She was born on Aug. 13, 1951, in Liberal, KS to Herbert Eugene and Lena Marie (Gé�nther) Dixon. Ozina attended Wichita State, where she received her bachelor's degree in General Studies. Ozina married Charles A. Love on April 21, 1973, in Liberal. They enjoyed 36 years of marriage until his death in 2009. She worked for the Wyandotte County Appraiser's offices in Winfield and Kansas City, KS. Ozina was a huge dog lover. During her lifetime, she had many German Shepherds. They were her children. She loved riding motorcycles, sewing, gardening, NASCAR, helping out on MS charity runs, all things Star Trek and Pink Panther. She was a member of the National Wildlife Refuge. Ozina was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her loving canine companion, Isabella, many nieces and nephews, and other loving relatives and a host of friends. A memorial service celebrating Ozina's life will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain David Rycroft officiating. An Eastern Shawnee tribal ceremony officiated by Ceremonial Chief Shawn King to take place Wednesday afternoon at 2p.m. at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla., to honor Ozina and her Native American heritage. Memorial contributions can be made in Ozina's name to the Humane Society of Grove, PO Box 451205 Grove, OK 74345-1205.
