Patricia L. Armstrong, age 74, and resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014, in the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Patricia Louise Parker was born June 27, 1939 in Bartlesville. She was the daughter of Ernest Cleo Parker and Dorothy Mae (Graham) Parker. She graduated from Bartlesville College High School with the Senior Class of 1957. She furthered her education by attending Oklahoma Baptist University, graduating with an Associate Degree in Business Accounting. On August 29, 1958, Patricia and William "Bill" Armstrong were united in marriage. They made their first home in Norman, Oklahoma, eventually coming back to Bartlesville in 1964. Pat and Bill enjoyed a long and happy marriage of 55 years. Pat was employed as Business Manager with Greenawalt-Armstrong Engineering in Bartlesville; BWR, Inc. in Salina, Kansas; and HNTB in Oklahoma City. At the time of her death, she was enjoying her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bartlesville where she worked in the church library. She enjoyed many things, such as Disney World vacations; in fact, she and Bill celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Disney World with their children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed 4th of July each year celebrating with her family. She loved to read, but most of all, she enjoyed family get-togethers and cooking and caring for her family. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Dolores Cooper. She is survived by her husband, Bill, of the family home; three children, Ron Armstrong and his wife, Robin, of Houston, Texas, Rob Armstrong and his wife, Melissa, of Plano, Texas, and Derek Armstrong and his wife, Jennifer, of Celina, Texas; six grandchildren, Kristen Beadles, Rev. Alex Armstrong, Scott Armstrong, Amber Dawn Armstrong, Garrett Armstrong and Sydney Armstrong; three great-grandchildren, Abigail Beadles, Olivia Armstrong and Jude Armstrong; and sister, Norma Hatfield, of Bartlesville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Pat's memory to the Baptist Children's Home in Owasso, Oklahoma.
