Patrick T. "Pat" Waddle, 77 year old Vinita resident went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 26, 1935 in Monark (west of Picher, Oklahoma) to George E. Waddle, Sr. and Zella (Power) Waddle. Patrick married Millie Story on June 15, 1956. He was led to the Lord by Rev. George Horton and his wife to be, Millie, at the First Baptist Church in Afton and was Baptized in 1956. Patrick has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Vinita since 1963. He worked in the mines at Eagle-Picher, Bunker Hill and Sullivan Mine in Kellogg, Idaho, the aircraft industry in Wichita, Kansas at Boeing and McDonnell-Douglas in Tulsa. Patrick worked at Eastern State Hospital as a mental health aid for 10 years and 20 more years as a mechanical contractor, until he retired. He also had Waddle Heating and Air for over 20 years. Upon retirement Patrick loved taking care of his granddaughters, Erin Waddle and Taylor Seaton. Patrick's interest included photography and history, with many of his photos and articles published in magazines and books. He also enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, auctions and refinishing furniture. Patrick was interviewed and gave valuable information for the making of the documentary "Tar Creek" by Matt Myers. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents and a brother George Waddle. The family includes: his wife Millie of the home, two daughters; Brenda Herman and husband Howard, Lou Ann Postier, and son Kevin Waddle all of Vinita; three granddaughters, Kristie Seaton and husband Shad, Emily Lee and husband Dustin, and Erin Waddle; a grandson Chris Postier; great-grandchildren, Taylor and William Seaton and Stella Lee; brothers Bill Waddle and wife Lois of Burkburnett, Texas and Mike Waddle of Anderson, Missouri; also his nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita. The funeral service will be held, Wednesday May 15, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Vinita, with Pastors Skip McClain and Steve Holland officiating.
