Patsy Ruth Russell, age 75, of Adair, OK died early Saturday morning at her home on Saturday January 23, 2010. She was born August 22, 1934 in Adair, OK the daughter of William Thomas Frazier and Lena Marie (Wilson) Frazier. She was raised and received her formal education in Adair graduating high school in 1952. Patsy and Douglas F. Russell were united in Marriage on December 10, 1954 in Tulsa. The family moved around while Doug served in the U.S. Army until his retirement in 1970 when they returned to Adair to make their home. She attended Rogers State University graduating in 1975. Patsy was an active member of the Adair Methodist Church where she served as Church Secretary and worked at the Pryor Foundry as a secretary for sixteen years retiring in 1987. Patsy was a caretaker of family and friends looking after their needs and served as the Junior Vice Commander of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary unit 43 Pryor, OK. She was a member the Red Hat Society and Walhalla, Big Cabin and Adair Senior Citizens and enjoyed kids basketball games, loved bowling, making ceramics, crocheting, sewing and running grandkids. Patsy leaves behind her husband of fifty five years Douglas of the home, one daughter, Jeanne and Len Gregory of Adair, OK, one brother Tommy Frazier of Adair, OK, a sister Sharon Stevens and husband Mark of Adair, grandchildren, Jennifer L. Keller, Joshua D. Keller, Madison R. Keller Dustin Len and Danielle Gregory and adopted grand daughter, Lydia Price. She was preceded by her parents and one son William Douglas Russell in 1963. Funeral services will be Wednesday January 27, 2010 at the Adair First Baptist Church At 2:00 p.m. with Dr. R Dwayne Conner officiating with interment to follow in the Adair Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday Jan. 26, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Luginbuel Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at honoringmemories.com.
