Paul Frank Brogden, Sr, 85 year old Vinita resident, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Paul was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on December 16, 1926 to Silas and Blanche Brogden. He attended school in Galena, Kansas. Upon graduating high school he joined the United States Navy serving from 1944 to 1945. As a profession Paul built numerous homes across California, Arizona, as well as Vinita, OK. He was an avid billiards player. He also owned a race horse and enjoyed fishing, traveling, collecting Elvis memorabilia, and eating Crispy Kreme Donuts. He was a member of the United Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Evelyn Brogden, son Paul Brogden Jr., cousin Joe Gunter, special friends John and Etta Mae Morris and Gene and Myrna Metz, as well as a number of grandchildren and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents, first wife Diana Brogden, son Randy Brogden, and an infant daughter. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, November 24, 2012 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Farris Downing officiating. Graveside services and military rites will be 1 p.m., Monday, November 26, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
