Paul Ray White, 49, a resident of Dewey, Oklahoma passed away at his residence on Monday, October 8, 2012. He was surrounded by his loving family. Paul Ray White was born August 3, 1963 in Amarillo, Texas the son of Dale White and Muriel (Jackson) White. He grew up in the Texas panhandle, graduating from Sanford Fritch High School. Paul joined and was later honorably discharged from the U.S. Marines. Learning the value of giving of self and promoting God and Country, Paul continued service to others, as he was a leader of the local Boy Scouts of America. He was also a member of East Cross United Methodist Church of Bartlesville. An avid fisherman, when his health and time allowed, Paul spent quite a bit of time on Lake Meredith near Fritch, Texas where he not only enjoyed the leisureliness, but also worked at the marina. More recently, Paul was employed by Conoco Phillips in Bartlesville where he worked in the security department for over 20 years. Paul was a Nascar and wrestling fan, an accomplished gardener and ceramic maker; however, most of all he was a very caring and big hearted man whose generosity was felt by many. Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Murial White. He is survived by: his parents, Dale and Charene White of Paris, Texas; one son, Steven White; seven sisters: Patricia, Kathleen, Debra, Teri, Paula (his twin), Patricia Colleen and Danette; six brothers: Jerry, Wesley, David, Tony, Ronnie and Jon; along with numerous aunts, an uncle and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his long-time caregiver, Deborah Richardson of Bartlesville; her daughter, Melissa Sutterfield and her husband Wes; and their children Blake and Wyatt Sutterfield;. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Bartlesville Cancer Center or to East Cross United Methodist Church.
