She was graduated from Valley Falls, Kansas, High School, got an AA degree from Coffeyville Junior College, and a B.S. degree from Kansas University. She began working for Phillips Petroleum Company in 1949, and was employed in the Research and Development Dept. until she retired in 1985. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, served on the Administrative Board, and was active in civic and social groups in Bartlesville. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews: Kenneth Bohannon, Lebanon, Ill.: Ed Bohannon, Port Saint Lucie, Fl.; Leanna Sundquist, Wichita, Ks.: Sandra Kushner, Bridgewater, N.J.; Donna Plunkett and Lynn McConnaughey, Colorado Springs, Co.; Bob Lightbody, Englewood, CO.; and several great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, three sisters, and a nephew.
