Pauline Cuellar

Pauline Cuellar, 85, passed away Friday night, October 4, 2013 at her home in Bartlesville. Pauline was born March 26, 1928 at Sabula, Missouri; one of 9 children born to Bert Bowles and Anna (Johnson) Bowles. She grew up in Ironton, Missouri and graduated from high school there. After high school, Pauline took a job at the YMCA in St. Louis. It was there she met her future husband. Pauline and Ben Cuellar, Jr. were united in marriage June 2, 1947 in St. Louis. Mr. Cuellar preceded his wife in death on February 3, 2006. The Cuellar family came to Bartlesville in 1950 and resided there since. Pauline was a 20 year employee of Phillips Petroleum Company, working in Housekeeping & Maintenance. Upon retirement, Pauline had more time for her passions - her three grandsons, reading, and St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She was a long time member of St. John Catholic Church. Survivors include two sons, Tony Cuellar and his wife, Sue of McKinney, TX, and Dr. James Cuellar of Foristell MO; a step-son, David Cuellar and his wife, Maxine of Cosby, TN; 4 sisters: Lorene Mayberry, Fern Anderson & Wanda Reed of Missouri, and Betty Burnett of Trenton, North Carolina; three grandsons, Michael, Christopher & Connor Cuellar and step-grandchildren, Shane, Michael and Michelle. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a daughter, Veronica Rose Cuellar. Her family suggests that those who wish may donate to the American Cancer Society, in honor of Pauline
