Mrs. Pauline Mae Rimel, 87 years old, died Wednesday February 17, 2010 in Houston, Texas. Pauline was born on December 16, 1922 the daughter of Carl Edwin Carlson and Victoria (Leugemors) Carlson. Her family settled in Borger, Texas where she meet and married Sidney Frank Rimel on May 29, 1943. From Borger they were transferred by Phillips Petroleum Company to Bartlesville in 1948. In 1972 they took an assignment in London, England for seven years before returning to Bartlesville in 1979. Mr. Rimel preceded her in death on July 29, 2001. Pauline continued to make her home in Bartlesville until recently when she moved to Spring, Texas to be close to her children. Pauline was active in a local photography club and did volunteer work with the Jane Phillips Medical Center. While living in London and later after Mr. Rimel's retirement, they enjoyed traveling in the U.S. and abroad. Even after her husband's passing, Pauline continued to travel including taking many trips with Bartlesville's Gold Club. Combining her talents of photography and computing skills, Pauline created many memorable multimedia presentations of various events in her life that her family will forever cherish. She also enjoyed painting landscape scenes from places she had once visited. Pauline is survived by her three children; Sharon Brandt and her husband Robert of Spring, Tx, Stephanie Smith and her husband Mike of Houston, Tx and Alan Rimel and his wife Paula of Cypress, Tx, four grandchildren; Chad Brandt and his wife Paige of Spring, Tx, Sherri Ross and her husband Curt of Spring, Tx, David Rimel of Cypress, Tx and Stuart Rimel of San Marcos, Tx and five great grandchildren; Ashley and Brandt Ross and Chase, Cooper and Mollie Brandt all of Spring, Tx. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Parents and one Brother. Funeral services for Mrs. Rimel be held 2:00 Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the Colonial Chapel of the Neekamp-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Rev. Dennis Voth of the First Christian Church of Bartlesville, Ok. will preside over the services, with interment to follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
