Peggy B. Tompers of Grove went home to be with her Lord Monday, April 14, 2008 at Integris General Hospital in Grove. Peggy was born October 5, 1925 in Seattle, Washington to Peter and Ragna (Arnessan) Holen. She married Kay C. "K.C." Tompers on November 6, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 16, 2006. Due to his career in the telecommunications industry, they relocated often, living in Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, California, Illinois, Texas and Ohio before settling back in Oklahoma, originally in Tulsa and in 1999 to Grove. Although her primary focus was raising her family, her friendly, caring personality made her a successful realtor in Galion, Ohio for many years. She was an active member of the Grove First United Methodist Church, serving on numerous committees; her greatest enjoyment outside of her own family was assisting with Children's Ministries programs there. Survivors include two children, Lynn Wright and her husband Harvey of Olathe, KS and Ted Tompers of Tulsa, OK; four grandchildren, Carole Fleniken and her husband Greg of Toledo, OH, Jeff Wright and his wife Kristen of Olathe, KS, Ian Smotts of Tulsa, and Heather Smotts of San Angelo, TX; six great-grandchildren, Drew and Maegan Fleniken of Toledo, Brandon and Peyton Wright of Olathe, and Nadia and Aidan Smotts of Tulsa. A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at the First United Methodist Church of Grove with Rev. Randy Hamill officiating. The family suggests memorials to the Children's Ministries of the First United Methodist Church in Grove in lieu of flowers.
