Penny Carper

October 23, 1929 — December 18, 2006

Eula Mae Kime-Deacon-Carper, also known as Penny Mae Carper, passed from this life at 10:20a.m., Monday, December 18, 2006 at the Silver Lake Care Center in Bartlesville where she had spent her last three weeks. She was in the arms of her daughter Debbie when she peacefully went to be with the Lord. Penny Carper was born October 23, 1929 at Lenapah, Oklahoma to Minnie and Elzie Kime. She was raised on a farm near Lenapah and also attended school in Lenapah. She married Ray Deacon in 1945. Out of this marriage she had two children; Donald Ray Deacon of Claremore and Deborah Jo Deacon-Chronister of Bartlesville. Mrs. Carper moved to California in 1957 where she met and later married Ken Carper. She then moved back to Lenapah in 1976. Mrs. Carper moved to Bartlesville in 1995 where she lived in a Senior Living Apartment. She was very active at the complex and served as President of the residents association for several years. Mrs. Carper loved making quilts and was very generous with her talents. She was constantly making crafts for others. Penny was also blessed with a daughter-in-law, Paula Deacon; with a son-in-law, Walter Chronister; with four granddaughters, Jennifer Deacon of Tulsa, Christine Deacon-Hood of Tulsa, Robin Deacon of Claremore; Alexus Chronister of NSU in Tahlequah; and with one great-grandson, Jeter Hood from Tulsa; with a brother Gene Kime; and with a sister, Mildred "Tootie" Kime-Seever. Penny was preceded in death by her parents; by a brother, Leo Kime; and by both of her husbands.
