Phoezine Helm

Phoezine Stella Helm, 83 year-old Vinita resident, died Saturday morning, October 18, 2008 at her home. She was born July 17, 1925 in Zap, North Dakota to Roberto and Rose (Miller) Akers. Phoezine married Isaac Helm 54 years ago in Des Moines Iowa. Phoezine was a member of the First Church of God in Vinita, WCG, Craig County Homemakers, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Isaac Helm preceded her in death on Thursday October 16, 2008. The family includes: eight children, Charles Waters, Linda Poore, Dennis Waters, Diane Barongan, Deborah Smith, Stella Snider, Darlene Bond and Ann Gruenburg; one sister, Violet Helm and one brother, Lawrence Aker, sixteen grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral service for Phoezine and Isaac Helm will be held Tuesday, October 21, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Church of God, with Pastor Eddie Wrinkle officiating.
