Phyllis May Hinds, age 60, a resident of Vinita, formally of Tulsa died Friday September 19, 2008 at Craig General Hospital. She was born January 13, 1948 in Jenks, OK the daughter of Leonard Carl Bradfield and Velma Kurr Bradfield. She was reared and received her education in Jenks then made her home in Tulsa. She moved to Vinita in February of 2008. She was a Direct Support professional supervisor with Central States Community Care Service for ten years where she worked with handicapped adults. She attended Phoenix Ave. Baptist Church in Tulsa and enjoyed her family, working puzzles, making ceramic's, fishing and gardening. Phyllis is survived by her husband Tom Hinds, Seven children, Raymond Sawyer of Manford, OK, Joe Sawyer of Coweta, OK, John Hinds of Tulsa, OK, Sammie Garner of Vinita, OK, Tonia Perdue of Sand Springs, OK, Charles Hinds of Tulsa, OK and Nika Carter of Vinita, five sisters and two brothers, Janie Mathis of Broken Arrow, OK, Leonard Bradfield of Sapulpa, OK, Patty Stevens of Tulsa, OK, Susie Hensen of Tulsa, OK, Jerry Bradfield of Broken Arrow, OK, Bobbie Stevens of Tulsa, OK and Roxanne Hartman of Kellyville, OK, an thirteen grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Wednesday September 24, 2008 at the Phoenix Ave. Baptist Church in Tulsa, with George Stevens and Mike Hartman officiating.
