ARNOLD MOORE & NEEKAMP FUNERAL HOME, BARTLESVILLE, OKLAHOMA - Polly Sue Ford, age 68 and longtime resident of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on May 12, 2016 in St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Polly "Sue" Trottingwolf was born October 21, 1947 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Edwin Lincoln Trottingwolf, Sr. and Rachel (Scullawl) Trottingwolf. She was raised in the area called "Gap Road" in Ochelata, Oklahoma. She graduated with the Ochelata High School Class of 1965. After her high school graduation, Sue attended the local business college. She was employed a short time with the local Woolworth store before beginning her 36-year career with Phillips Petroleum Company where she worked as a Transportation Analyst. She retired from the company in 1999. Sue and Ron Ford were married on September 22, 1973 in the Matoaka Baptist Church, Ochelata and they have made their home in Bartlesville since that time. Sue was a member of the Bartlesville Southern Baptist Church. She was active in many organizations, some of which were Jane Phillips Society, Distinguished Young Women of America and Service League of Bartlesville. She also held various positions and worked on several committees within her church. She was an exceptional volunteer within her community, continuously working to help others. In her spare time, Sue enjoyed playing softball and basketball. However, most of all, Sue loved her family and enjoyed every minute spent with them. Survivors include her husband, Ron, of the family home; daughter, Darcy Ford and her husband, Aaron, of Whittier, California; brother, Edwin L. Trottingwolf and his wife, Kay, of Bartlesville; sisters, Linda Leach of Bartlesville, and Susan Hair and her husband, David, of Ochelata; and other relatives and many friends.. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dee Wayne Trottingwolf; and sister, Claranell Trottingwolf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sue's honor to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, 5300 Castlebrook Dr., Raleigh, NC 27604 or the American Diabetes Association, 3000 United Founders Blvd., #108, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.. Come and go visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home, 710 S. Dewey Ave. Family will be present to greet friends on Thursday from 6-8:00 PM.
